On 15 November in the General Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Ostrava another working meeting of the Polish-Czech analytical platform took place. It was organised by the Centre for Eastern Studies in cooperation with the Institute for International Relations (ÚMV) from Prague and the Association for International Affairs (AMO). The talks concerned the state of and the prospects for Polish-Czech relations and cooperation within the Polish-Czech-Slovak area of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation Tritia.
The meeting was attended by ÚMV Deputy Director Michal Kořan, Deputy Director of AMO Research Center Vít Dostál, Petr Kupka from the International Institute for Political Science in Brno, Tomáš Strážay from the Research Centre of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Ostrava Anna Olszewska, Deputy Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Warsaw Martin Svárovský, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Bratislava Piotr Samerek, head of the Central Europe Unit of the European Policy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Osiak and Piotr Wysocki from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Prague, as well as OSW analysts – Mateusz Gniazdowski, Jakub Groszkowski, Marta Szpala and Andrzej Wilk. Cross-border cooperation in the Tritia area was discussed by Hynek Orság – director of the European Projects Department of the Office of the Moravian-Silesian Province in Ostrava.
