OSW is co-organising a conference „Russian ‘power projection’ in the twenty-first century”

Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW) is a co-organiser of the conference „Russian ‘power projection’ in the twenty-first century” arranged by the Baltic Defence College on 24th-26th November 2014 in Tartu/Estonia. The conference is structured along four main themes: military projection; economic penetration; cultural expansion; and internal consolidation, analysing the growing reach and authority of the Kremlin within the country. At the conference Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW) organises the panel „‘Civis Russianus sum’: Russia’s new security policy?”, moderated by the Head of the Russian Department, Marek Menkiszak, with participation of James Sherr (Chatham House/United Kingdom), Carolina Vendil Pallin (FOI/Sweden), Armand Gosu (University of Bucharest/Romania) and Isabelle Facon (Fondation pour la recherche stratégique/France).
