On 5 March OSW organised a seminar focused on the prospects for the Ukrainian economy and for the energy sector. OSW’s guests were Ukrainian experts: Oleh Ustenko, Executive Director of the International Blazer Fund in Kyiv, and Mykhailo Honchar, Director of the Centre of Global Studies ‘Strategy XXI’. The topics discussed during the seminar included the condition of the Ukrainian economy in the context of the conflict in Donbas and the prospects for the development of the energy sector in Ukraine in the light of Kyiv’s attempts at making the country independent of Russian gas supplies. The meeting was moderated by Wojciech Konończuk, Head of OSW’s Department of Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova.
