The Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW) co-organized another edition of the Polish-Slovak Discussion Forum. The meeting was opened by Polish and Slovak Deputy Foreign Ministers Katarzyna Kacperczyk and Igor Slobodník. It was attended by representatives of Foreign Ministries and think-tanks from the two countries. The session dedicated to the issue of security was chaired by Deputy Minister Slobodník. One of the session’s panellists was Director of OSW Olaf Osica. In another session which focused on cooperation in the Visegrad format the panellists included the Head of OSW’s Central European Department Mateusz Gniazdowski.
The Polish-Slovak Discussion Forum accompanies consultations carried out at the level of deputy foreign ministers and is held once a year in Poland or in Slovakia interchangeably. It is organized by the European Policy Department of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by the Department of Analyses and Planning of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in cooperation with OSW and the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA).
