A Polish-Macedonian seminar Think Tank Debate for European Integration was held on 12 March 2018 in Skopje. The seminar was organised by the Macedonian European Policy Institute (EPI) in co-operation with OSW and the Polish Institute of International Affairs, and with support from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Poland in Skopje. The seminar was opened by the ministers of foreign affairs Jacek Czaputowicz and Nikola Dimitrov.
Witold Rodkiewicz, Ph.D. from the Russian Department of OSW took part in the first panel discussion devoted to security issues in the region in the context of the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of the Western Balkan states. Marta Szpala represented OSW in the second panel discussion during which issues concerning cross-border and interregional co-operation in European integration were raised based on the Central European countries’ experiences.
The seminar was held as an event accompanying the seventh Skopje Conference, an annual meeting of representatives of state institutions from Poland and Macedonia aimed at sharing Poland’s experience in the process of European integration.
