Aleš Chmelař, who was nominated Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in December 2018 and before that served as a Secretary of State for European Affairs at the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, visited OSW on 13 February. The discussion with OSW experts concerned political coalitions in the EU after Brexit, and regional co-operation. Issues linked to Polish-Czech relations were also raised, such as co-operation for developing the Eastern Partnership and supporting Western Balkan countries on their way to the EU and NATO.
