On May 14th Erhard Busek, former Vice-Chancellor of Austria, currently the President of the Danube Region and Central Europe Institute (Institut für den Donauraum und Mitteleuropa, IDM) visited the Center for Eastern Studies. Ha has been accompanied by a group of IDM experts and journalists of the influential Austrian newspapers, including Die Presse, Der Standard and Tiroler Tageszeitung.
The debate with OSW experts from the Central European, German and Ukrainian Department mainly dealt with the questions concerning regional cooperation, the prospects of implementing the association agreement between Ukraine and the European Union and the “politics of memory" in Central and Eastern Europe.
