As in previous years, OSW co-organised the conference section of the Baltexpo exhibition held in Gdańsk. On 6 September 2021, the exhibition’s opening debate entitled ‘The Three Seas Initiative: a new impulse in Central Europe’s development’ was held under the auspices of the OSW. It was moderated by the OSW’s deputy director Mateusz Gniazdowski, and the speakers included Konrad Popławski, head of the OSW’s Central European Department. Participants in the conference organised by the OSW entitled ‘The EU and Chinese connectivity strategies: consequences for Polish ports’ included Jakub Jakóbowski, the coordinator of the OSW’s Connectivity in Eurasia project, and Konrad Popławski. By courtesy of the Port of Gdańsk Authority, the Port of Gdynia Authority and the Polish Chamber of Maritime Commerce, the OSW experts paid study visits to the Tri-City’s ports.
