On September 25, the Centre for Eastern Studies was visited by the representatives of Tajikistan: minister Rustam Azizi, deputy director of the Center for Islamic Studies and the advisor to the president of Tajikistan and Rustam Hajdarow Ph.D., deputy director of the Institute of Philosophy and Political Sciences of the Tajik Academy of Sciences.
The debate with the CES’ experts concerned the problems of Tajikistan's foreign and internal policy, its relations with neighboring countries and the EU as well as Muslim countries. The key issues, however, turned out to be the regional security in Central Asia in the context of the situation in Afghanistan and the region's relations with Russia and China.
