On 31 October, Dr. Anke Schmidt-Felzmann, an expert on Baltic and Russian Affairs at the FPRI (Foreign Policy Research Institute) and a former employee of the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI), visited the OSW. Dr. Schmidt-Felzmann presented the results of her research on the activities that Gazprom is undertaking to push the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in Germany and Northern Europe. The interests of the energy companies and the governments of individual regions were also discussed in connection with the implementation of the project. The meeting was a summary of Dr. Schmidt-Felzmann's weeks-long study residency at OSW as part of the Think Visegrad Fellowships programme, carried out by the Think Visegrad consortium thanks to support from the International Visegrad Fund.
